The Need for Redemption
Q. Why do we need a redeemer?
A. To make an atonement for our sins:
Redemption became necessary when sin entered the human sphere and separated man from God. Following the account of creation, sin entered into the human experience causing man to fall under the righteous judgment of God, never the less at the time of the fall, God provided for future redemption.
Q. What was the means redemption?
A. By blood.
The means of bridging the separation of man from God was the means of blood.
| Genesis 3:21 | Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. |
The covering required the shedding of innocent blood, so for the first time blood was shed. Adam and Eve received the lesson that would later be summed up in the Law of Moses that it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul. If disobedience did take place, the means of atonement for sin was blood.
